Fans of Marissa Jaret Winokur won’t have to wait much longer to see her on TV again. Deadline.com reports that the actress has locked in a gig over on TV Land, where she will be joining the cast of “Retired at 35.”
The Tony winner quickly retweeted the news to her followers, and posted the good news on her Facebook page, stating “I am so thrilled to be doing a scripted show again! This is where my heart is and I am so greatful to be part of this crazy amazing cast and crew!!”
On the show, Winokur will join Johnathan McClain who plays a successful New Yorker who moves in with his parents in a Florida retirement community. The actress is set to play the sharp-tongued sister Amy, a successful saleswoman for a pharmaceutical company with a” bubbly personality who is bad man picker, so her personal life is a mess,” according to the report.
Winokur, of course, recently co-hosted “The Talk” on CBS, but left halfway through the first season.
