Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine had a very special request for Fox News on Wednesday night. ““Dear Fox News, don’t play our music on your evil f–king channel ever again. Thank you,” the “Voice” coach tweeted.

What prompted Levine to issue the demand is still unknown. The network has yet to officially comment on the tweet or which of the band’s songs were used. Who has responded are Andy Levy and Greg Gutfield of Fox News’ late night show “Red Eye.” Tweeted Levy, “Dear @AdamLevine, don’t make crappy f–king music ever again. Thank you.”  Added Gutfeld, “Dear adam, That’s not music” and “fun joke: why did Maroon 5 cross the road? because crappy music is legal there! @adamlevine.”

This isn’t the first time Levine’s opinion has caused a stir. This summer, he blasted Fox reality show – and “Voice” competitor – “American Idol” for not not allowing gay singers to come out. “What’s always pissed me off about ‘American Idol’ is wanting to mask that, for that to go unspoken,” he said in an interview with OUT magazine.

In August, Levine slammed the MTV VMA’s, tweeting “The VMA’s. one day a year when MTV pretends to still care about music. I’m drawing a line in the sand. f-ck you VMA’s.”
