The cast of “90210” is about to get an injection of some familiar faces.
The CW series has lined up a pair of actresses to visit the network’s staple series. The first, Dina Meyer, brings back a veteran of the original series, according to TVLine.com. In the first go-around, Meyer played Lucinda Nicholson, the married California University professor who famously bedded Brandon Walsh. This time, she will play an agent with an eye on Liam’s budding modeling career.
Since her original “90201” day, Meyer’s resume includes parts in feature films such as “Starship Troopers” and “Saw” as well as stints in TV series ranging from “CSI” to “Castle.” Her “90210” return will take place next month.

The other newcomer is a veteran of a different CW show, with Arielle Kebbel from “The Vampire Diaries” signing on for a recurring role on “90210.” TVGuide.com reported that the actress is lined up to play Vanessa, “a charismatic, edgy and vivacious former bad girl who enjoys a little risk-taking now and again” and will become involved with one of the show’s leading men. Kebbel’s episodes will begin in December.
Kebbel quickly took to Twitter to spread the good word, writing ““@RobynRossTVG: Exclusive: Which Vampire Diaries actress is heading to 90210?http://bit.ly/oiw9nm #tvd” thanks for the support!”
