Christiane Amanpour may be hoping you can go home again.

The award-winning journalist who last year left CNN to anchor “This Week with Christiane Amanpour” at ABC is allegedly “miserable” in her new gig, according to The New York Post.

Apparently hosting a weekly political talk show isn’t as exciting as a job in the field covering international affairs, and a bored Amanpour reportedly has reached out to her old CNN boss Phil Kent to feel out the waters.

“The courtship began over the summer when Phil first got wind that all was not well with her over there,” a source said to The Post. “Both sides regretted her leaving.”

Not helping matters are the continued rumors that Amanpour is not getting along with the ABC execs.

There’s said to be friction between her and producer Rick Kaplan and ABC News president Ben Sherwood. “It’s a problem,” the source added. “Rick is trying to guide the show, but she doesn’t want to hear it.”

Formerly chief international correspondent at CNN for 27 years, Amanpour took over as anchor of the Sunday ABC news program in August 2010 when George Stephanopoulos left “This Week” for the co-hosting gig at “Good Morning America.”

A CNN rep declined to comment on the speculation.
