Well, they’re not planning a wedding, but rest assured, it’s not for the typical reasons that seem to curse the ABC reality dating franchise.
Turns out Ashley Hebert and fiancé J.P. Rosenbaum are just way too busy at the moment to even wrap their minds around walking down the aisle — although they say they definitely will be, when the time is right.
“We’re so busy that even if I wanted to plan [a wedding] right now, I don’t think I could,” Ashley recently told People. “My brain is just not there right now.”
Instead, the 26-year-old is focusing on her career. She’s at the tail end of dental school and applying for pediatric residencies in the New York area.
However, from what J.P. tells the mag, don’t assume they’re pulling an “Ali Fedotowsky-Roberto Martinez-we’ll-be-engaged-forevuhhh!” sorta deal. The 34-year-old construction manager attested that they’ll “start talking about [wedding planning] after the New Year.”
In the meantime, he’s just enjoying her company. “My closet space is a lot less now and the place is twice as big,” J.P. joked. “But it’s her idiosyncrasies that I love, and there’s no pet peeve of hers that really gets to me.”
