(UPDATE 11/9/11: Looks like the trailer’s status on YouTube has been changed to “Private.” Maybe E! released it a bit too soon?)
Never let it be said that a cable network won’t take every advantage to promote their stars’ misfortunes. Despite the fact that Kim Kardashian has said that her divorce troubles won’t play out on the air, E! has produced a trailer for “Kourtney and Kim Take New York” that exploits what led up to that divorce.
In the trailer (via the Huffington Post), Kourtney’s boyfriend Scott Disick tells Kris Humphries how many people saw him living it up without Kim, reminding him that he is now under intense scrutiny because he’s part of the Kardashian entertainment machine. Cut to a scene with Kim yelling at Kris about said incident. The whole thing is wrapped up in an ominous voice over that says Kim and Kris “will see their (relationship) unravel.”
Hey, the footage has already been shot, so it’s fair game, right? Let’s hope Kim realizes that, even though the ugliness of her divorce may not air, what ends up seeing the light of day isn’t going to be pretty, either.
