‘American Idol’ Winner Releases Debut Album

Hey y’all, who won season 10 of “American Idol“?

If you remembered to say Scotty McCreery, you are probably among those who know skinny 18-year-old high schooler with the Randy Travis-like voice just released his debut album. As part of his kickoff, he participated in Thursday’s annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, then, according to his Twitter page, flew to Atlanta, but on Wednesday morning he stopped by the “Today” show and gave Kathy Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb an earful of aw-shucks sweetness.

“Just a year ago, we were packing for Hollywood week,” McCreery told the women. “Just to make it past that, let alone be here… It seems like yesterday. I’m telling you, this has been the fastest year. It’s like I was just here with Lauren (Alaina), and we were singing here. It’s been cool though. I’ve been enjoying every minute of it.”

Gotta love this kid, right?

Even better, his album already went gold. “Gonna be a fun couple of days,” he tweeted.
