‘Parks and Rec’: Louis C.K. Coming Back to Disrupt Ben-Leslie Romance

We could watch Louis C.K. order pizza and laugh our butts off; he’s just got such a great low-key-yet-put-upon manner, and even before he played a version of himself on his brilliant FX show “Louie,” there were roles he played that took advantage of that.

The best of them was on “Parks and Recreation,” where he played Pawnee cop Dave Sanderson, who became a love interest for Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) long before Ben Wyatt (Adam Scott) came into her life. Now comes word, via TVLine, that C.K. will be coming back to the show to reprise the role in an episode early in 2012.

It’ll be funny if Louie’s character comes back to throw a monkey wrench into the Ben-Leslie romance, one that’s just started to reheat — even in the face of great risk. If it comes down to Ben and Dave fighting over Leslie, it’ll be the lowest-intensity fight ever, with lots of angst and self-doubt thrown in for good measure. We can’t wait to see it.
