Well, apparently some people aren’t too happy with Barbara Walters’ choice of the Most Fascinating People of 2011.

With choices that included Simon Cowell, New York Yankees star Derek Jeter and Katy Perry as well as more controversial selections such as Donald Trump and the Kardashian clan, Walters received a chorus of disapproval from her own co-hosts on “The View.”

After Walters announced the first selection on the annual list, the Kardashians, Joy Behar quickly showed her disappointment. “Why are they so fascinating to you?”

Walters explained that the Kardashians constant mentions on the news earned them a spot. After the other ladies also chimed in with their own opinions. Walters had enough.

“Why do I do this show? I could have a happy life on ABC News!” she exclaimed, reminding the group that her participation the show was purely voluntary, .

She then announced Simon Cowell, whom Beher also disagreed with.

“What is with you?” Barbara asked. “No wonder you’re not on the list!”

Other choices included “Modern Family’s” Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet, as well as Pippa Middleton, and Amanda Knox, the former Seattle exchange student whose four years in custody ended when an Italian court overturned her murder conviction.
