Alec Baldwin dropped by “Conan” last night to promote the return of “30 Rock,” and two things about his hilarious appearance were surprising: 1) He’s been so New York-centric lately that he hasn’t sat with Conan since the “Late Night” days, and 2) Baldwin could give Frank Caliendo a run for his money if he ever wanted to make a living doing impressions.
He displayed a number of voices during his appearance, including a couple of different types of New York cabbies, but it was his pitch-perfect impression of “30 Rock” co-star Tracy Morgan that impressed us the most. Watch as Baldwin talks about Tracy’s inability to remember his lines as well as his appreciation of the Jackson 5-era Michael Jackson; if Baldwin doesn’t go into politics after he quits acting, he’d sure as heck do well as a stand-up comedian.
