Jesse James once again landed himself in hot water after describing his ex-wife Sandra Bullock as “some Hollywood actress” and drew a brand new target on his back for pop culture pundits.
James used the term while trying to apologize to fans on his new Discovery Channel series, “American Chopper: The Build-off.”
“I became a big shot and married some Hollywood actress and didn’t talk to anybody anymore, so I feel bad,” he said on the show in an effort to explain his recent distance from fans. “I feel obligated to reconnect with all these people and show them that I’m still the same fabricator motorcycle guy. I’m not what I became.”
The description of Bullock prompted immediate criticism from magazines and commentators alike, given it was his infidelity that caused the couple to break up after five years of marriage.
Meanwhile, James told TMZ that he had recently made a few enemies as well. He told the website that that things have grown tense with Paul Teutul Jr. on the show as part of his bike building war with the crew at “American Chopper.”
“The senior is cool but the kid’s like wound up tighter than a watch … I think he’s gonna want to fight me,” James said.
