Kris Humphries Avoids Kim Questions on ‘GMA’

On Friday’s set of “Good Morning America,” Kris Humphries “broke” his silence by speaking on…(drum roll)…his love of basketball! Just what we were dying to hear!

Considering his prenup forbids him to speak of his marital dissolution with ex-love Kim Kardashian, the NBA free agent, who was accompanied by his mom Debra, avoided all questions related to their 72-day marriage, along with his annulment proceedings. Instead, mom and son resorted to baking cookies(?!) on set, looking uncomfortable, sounding rehearsed, and even speaking in alliteration (apparently, loving up on the letter “F”).

Despite being relentlessly barraged with Kim K. questions from host Josh Elliott, Kris simply and repeatedly stated he’s been working on his foundation in the off-season and is currently “just focused on family…and preparing for basketball… just moving forward.”

As for his annulment? “I’m really right now focused on basketball and other things will take care of themself, you know,” the 26-year-old slow talker responded. “Hopefully, I’ll be on a team soon and ready to go.” (According to the New York Daily News, the New Jersey Nets is in serious discussions to bring back the successful forward.)

When mom Debra was asked about how she feels about her son’s on-screen tabloid drama, she stayed on point, too. “It’s our faith in God [that] carried us through all these times. We try to focus on being thankful for things and being positive. We’re not trying to look back, we’re trying to focus on moving forward,” she said.

As to whether or not he’s been watching the demise of his marriage unfold on “Kourtney and Kim Take New York,” Kris claimed he hasn’t been wallowing in front of the tube—nor is he worried about his reputation.

“The thing for me, the only things I watch of myself is playing basketball, game films, stuff like that,” he stated. “I’ve never been someone who really watched the show on TV. For me, my focus is just basketball, my foundation, family and moving through life.”

He added: “I think if people know me and know who I am and what I stand for, I think they’ll know I love to give back. I’m a fun guy. I don’t really play into all the gossip that takes place. “

With lackluster responses to his questions, host Josh Elliott ended his segment with one last whopper of a question. “Do you still love her?” he asked Kris.

“This guy!” the baller laughed uncomfortably, gesturing towards the host. “I’m focused on just what I can control, which is being ready to play ball and supporting my mom and her cookie baking.”
