Jennifer Beals hasn’t been seen much since her Shawn Ryan-produced series “The Chicago Code” was cancelled by FOX in the spring, but according to TV Guide, she’s set to pop up again on the ABC mystery show “Castle” in a two-part episode in February, according to TV Guide.
In the role, Beals will play CIA agent named Sophia Conrad who has a long and sordid history with Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion). She’ll be helping Castle and Beckett (Stana Katic) track down a wayward CIA agent as part of a murder investigation, but the real drama will likely involve how Beckett reacts to Castle and Sophia’s chemistry together.
It’s a testament to Beals’ career that the article listed her two main credits as “Chicago Code” and “Flashdance,” a movie that’s close to 30 years old. But who wouldn’t want to see her don the ripped t-shirt and leg warmers again? It won’t happen on “Castle,” of course, but we can always dream…
