“The Bachelor” producers NZK Productions and Alternative Television are suing insider blogger Stephen Carbone for spoiling the surprises form the long-running ABC reality show, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Carbone’s blog Reality Steve had already detailed, according to his sources, what four finalists are in the mix for Ben Flajnik’s love as well as which contestant instead turned her romantic attention toward another female on the show in the upcoming season.
The lawsuit was filed on Dec. 6, claiming contract interference by Carbone for allegedly offering cash to people affiliated with the show in exchange for revealing details about what will happen on the show. Crew and contestants alike are required to sign a confidentiality agreement before working on the series.
According to the article, Carbone sent an email to one participant that reads, “I swear, this is the easiest money you’d ever make, and you and I are the only two people that would know.”
The new season of the series (the show’s 16th) is set to begin on Jan. 2.
