After raking in awards and viewers alike with such historical and hard-hitting mini-series as “Band of Brothers,” “Pacific,” and “John Adams,” Tom Hanks is at it again, and gave David Letterman an exclusive preview of his new pet project.
“They give me a couple hundred million bucks and I get to do what I want,” said Hanks of his relationship with HBO, where the other projects aired.
Check out the video he showed on Letterman last night, looking at the “upcoming” extravagant 11-part miniseries dubbed “Pop Tart.”
“Noone tells a better story of American history than me, Dave!” he said. Of course, Hanks can next be seen in the Christmas release of Oscar contender “Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close,” based on the novel by Jonathan Safran Foer.
