Sergeant Wesley Durden, who was eliminated in Monday’s episode of TLC reality competition “Next Great Baker,” reportedly committed suicide after production wrapped on the series earlier this year, according to the Jacksonville Daily News.
The network delivered the news to viewers following the episode, stating “TLC extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Sgt. Wesley Durden, who died Oct. 24. He will be warmly remembered by the cast and crew of Next Great Baker.”
According to the report, Durden served as a veteran paratrooper with the Army 82nd Airborne Division in Fayetteville. N.C. who lived through two deployments in Iraq. He is now survived by his wife, his son, and his two-year-old daughter.
