After announcing to the world that her mother was pregnant in November, Selena Gomez released a sad follow-up today addressing her mom’s miscarriage two weeks ago, posting her gratitude to her fans for their support since the loss of the baby was made public.

Gomez posted her first statement since the news was announced writing on her Facebook page, “Belated Merry Christmas everybody.. I can’t thank you enough for all of your thoughts and prayers. We appreciate every one of you.. I love you all so much and we hope you and your family had a beautiful Christmas! Love, Me, Momma, Brian and our guardian angel Scarlett. God bless”

Gomez also recently joined her “Wizards of Waverly Place” co-stars David Henrie and Jake T. Austin for an interview with “Access Hollywood” to talk about the popular Disney Channel series coming to an end, and what, exactly, she spent that fat, first paycheck on.
