During an appearance on “The Tonight Show” Tuesday night, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi confirmed the rumors that her “Jersey Shore” castmate  (and one-time late night smush pal)  Vinny Guadigno does depart the show before the end of its upcoming fifth season.

“Vinny left,” Snooki told Jay Leno. “You’ll see through the season, but honestly we all get homesick sometimes, the cameras are too much, we’re like ‘ugh, go away.'”

When Leno asked if the slimmed-down guidette ever contemplated exiting “Shore,” she quickly responded, “I want to leave every day.” But what keeps her there is the money are her friends. “‘Jersey Shore’ is amazing,” she continued. “I love my roommates, I love hanging out with them.”

The fifth season of “Jersey Shore” premieres Thursday, Jan 5. at 10/9c on MTV.
