Walden Schmidt is shaggy no more.

Ashton Kutcher sported a new clean shaven, short-haired look during a TCA panel for “Two and a Half Men” in Pasadena on Wednesday.

During the panel, Ashton went through the expected motions of how he feels being on the show (“fulfilled”), why he returned to TV (“being able to act every day is really fun”), and if he wants to be back next season (“absolutely”), until one reporter finally addressed the “elephant in the room” (no, not the Demi question): What happened to his long hair and beard?

“It’s a new look for Monday’s episode,” Kutcher answered. “It’s really funny. You should watch.”

The episode, titled “A Possum on Chemo,” finds Zoey (Sophie Winkleman) coercing Walden to try out a new look. Kutcher called it a “blast.”

Speaking of Zoey, series executive producer Chuck Lorre said he’s thrilled about giving Walden a new girlfriend, so don’t expect her to disappear anytime soon. “Having Walden in a relationship has been a great boon for us in the past few weeks,” Lorre said, adding “Nothing reveals character quicker and faster than a relationship.”
