‘Fear Factor’ Donkey Episode Pulled?

Fear Factor host Joe Rogan (NBC)

We never thought TMZ would ever be considered a television watchdog, but we should thank them in this case for helping NBC see the light on the “Fear Factor” episode that was supposed to air tonight. One of the stunts teams of twins were going to attempt was to guzzle a mug full of donkey semen. No, that’s not a misprint.

After the gossip site revealed what the episode was going to be about, not only did the Donkey and Mule Society chime in with their objections, they also found out from their sources that the folks at NBC and its parent company, Comcast, were starting to get cold feet. Keep in mind that the network’s brass hesitated to approve airing the stunt after it was filmed, but ended up giving the go-ahead, for whatever reason.

Now, the episode, subtly entitled “Hee Haw! Hee Haw!” has disappeared from the schedule, according to TMZ. Maybe it’ll get rerun in the dead of summer without any fanfare, but hopefully it’ll never see airtime. Of course, that will probably make the contestants who actually drank the donkey excretions feel even worse than they’re probably already feeling.

Oh, and the headline above was pretty much unavoidable. The other ones we thought of were worse.
