Where J.J. Abrams is concerned, the “Revolution” will definitely be televised.
“Lost” creator Abrams, along with his fellow “Alacatraz” producer Bryan Burk and “Supernatural” creator Eric Kripke have been given the green-light from NBC for their pilot “Revolution.” Described as a “high octane action drama,” the pilot follows “a group of characters struggling to survive and reunite with loved ones in a world where all forms of energy have mysteriously ceased to exist.”
Abrams and Burk will executive-produce the Warner Bros. Television project, with Kripke writing and executive-producing.
Earlier this week, Abrams and Burk landed the pilot “Shelter” with the CW. That project is set in a “”historic New England summer resort where the new and returning staff attend to the practical, emotional and often comical needs of the guests while navigating friendships, rivalries and romances of their own.”
