Kelly Osbourne’s hair has been the subject of much scrutiny ever since she changed color to gray.
So when the host of “Fashion Police” stepped in to her mother’s shoes as a guest co-host of “The Talk,” she was quick to explain her transformation to the crew.
“It’s something I’ve wanted to do my whole life,” she stated. “I always wanted to be young and have gray hair. I know that’s crazy, but I don’t exactly come from the most normal family. I don’t get why anybody expects anything different from me.”
Sara Gilbert compared her look to fellow co-host Sharon Osbourne, noting “You and your mom should trade hair colors.”
“No, I don’t think my mom would look good with gray hair,” Osbourne replied. “I like her fire engine hair, which brings me to my next topic of conversation… if you have hair the color of a fire truck, don’t tell me not to have gray hair!”
The fashion critic then admitted that pundits took their swipes at the change.
“It was like a unanimous hate. Everyone hated it at first and then about two weeks after I did it, the Chanel campaign came out and all the ads have grey hair and its young women and then everyone is like ‘oh you’re so cool’ and I was like ‘Oh really?'”
