Taylor Armstrong of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” was on the “Today” show this morning to promote her new memoir, which comes out tomorrow. The memoir details her history with abuse, especially at the hands of her estranged husband, Russell Armstrong, who committed suicide a few weeks before the show’s second season hit the air.

In the lead-in segment before the interview, Russell’s sister, Laurie Kelsoe, contended that her brother was the victim of foul play, and didn’t have it in him to kill himself. She’s said that in the past, and has called Taylor a golddigger, among other accusations. In the interview, though, Taylor shot back at her sister-in-law, accusing her of not having her finger on the pulse of their relationship because she spent the majority of the time addicted to meth.

After that interesting start, Taylor then told Savannah Guthrie about how she was able to finally recognize the abuse patterns she was participating in. But she also had kind words for her late husband, and she also acknowledged that she did break down during the filming of season two, in an attempt to keep her family life from being revealed on camera.

In other ‘RHOBH’ news, Kyle Richards spoke to Parade.com about the season, her new book, the prospects of her being on a third season, and the fact that, despite what we’re seeing during the reunion, all the cast members are truly friends. She also talked about how her relationship with her sister Kim is “is in the best place it’s been in many years. We are having fun together and we’re able to laugh and just be real sisters again.”

Apparently, both sisters worked some things out while Kim was in rehab for alcohol abuse. Good to see them getting along, and we hope it lasts, because friends may come and go, but family is forever, right?
