When a Navy captain is found murdered on tonight’s episode of “NCIS,” it turns out he belongs to a secret society of superheroes — and someone wants them dead. The first clue? The captain has a costume hidden under his uniform.
And who better than Tony (Michael Weatherly) and Abbey (Pauley Perrette) to get into the swim of things with their own costumes as they go undercover to catch a killer.
But it turns out that Tony has more on his mind than playing dress-up when his ex fiancée Wendy Miller (Perrey Reeves) gets involved in the action — and lays a big kiss on her ex after not having seen him for a while.
“The case we deal with is very light and entertaining,” says Executive Producer Gary Glasberg. “Mixed in with it we get a chance to meet Wendy. Wendy was the woman that Tony was engaged to when he was a detective in Baltimore.”

On last week’s “Life Before His Eyes” episode, we saw that one of the possible sliding doors — if things had gone differently and Kate (Sasha Alexander) hadn’t been killed by Ari (Rudolf Martin) was that Tony and Kate might have fallen in love, gotten married and had a baby.
“If Tony had had the opportunity to spend more time with Kate, who knows how that would have unfolded … just like we continue to be intrigued by the relationship of Tony and Ziva (Cote de Pablo),” Glasberg says. ” It is hard to say which direction things would have gone but that was the point of last week’s episode.”
So who really is the love of Tony’s life? Could it be Wendy?
“I don’t know,” Glasberg says. “I think Tony is constantly searching. I think his perfect woman is out there. He has to decide what he wants. Who knows? Maybe what he wants is right under his nose.
And that could make Tiva (Tony + Ziva) fans very happy.
The “Secrets” episode of “NCIS” airs Tuesday, Feb 14 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
