Stories continue to creep up around the media world that Janet Jackson is under consideration to become a host of “The X Factor.”
The most recent piece comes from The Hollywood Reporter stating that the pop singer was in preliminary talks to become a judge on the show, according to their sources.
The singer addressed those rumors when she appeared on “Anderson Cooper 360” and, depending on your point of view, either added more fuel to the fire or killed the rumor completely.
In the interview, Cooper seemed to catch Jackson off guard when he asked her if Simon Cowell had recruited her to take one of the open spots on the show.
Her response: “No, I’m not a judge on The X Factor.”
Just to make sure, Cooper stated “You’re not currently a judge on The X Factor.”
Then came a cryptic reply: “No, I am not, but that’s all I really think I should say,” Jackson said.
Last week the Hollywood Reporter also wrote that Whitney Houston was being considered for a role on the show to replace one of the Paula Abdul/Nicole Scherzinger vacancies. The story broke a day before Houston’s death.
The report also states that Pink is also “high” on Cowell’s wish list.
