Taylor Swift and Zac Efron both provide voices for the new Dr. Seuss movie “The Lorax,” but the only place they’re appearing together is on today’s “Ellen”. Ellen DeGeneres knows how adorable they are together, which is why she prodded the two of them, looking for any indication that they’re a couple (see below). But Swift wouldn’t have it, saying “we’re not!” almost right away.
But the best part of the joint interview came later, when the two of them grabbed guitars and sang a re-worked version of the Foster the People song “Pumped Up Kicks” (see above). They changed the lyrics to the song, including a chorus that said “Every time I come on this show, it’s really weird, really weird.” The two of them had some good harmony after supposedly only rehearsing the song once. Maybe Zac appears on Taylor’s next CD?
What we want to know is how Mark Foster feels about Swift and Mr. “High School Musical” reworking his music. Then again, who knew Swift and Efron could write funny parody songs? While Weird Al has nothing to worry about, they didn’t do a bad job.
