After drawing fire for his declaration last season that “Dancing with the Stars” was HIS show, Maksim Chmerkovskiy may soon find out whether or not that statement is true.
“Entertainment Tonight” had a recent interview with the dance king, who told ET Canada, “I still don’t know if I’m on the show.”
When asked when he would find out if he is returning, the controversial Maks responded by saying, “I would still not tell you if I did but I’m not lying to you. I didn’t get the call yet.”
He also noted that “everyone’s going to be really short” in the upcoming season, which wouldn’t pair well with his 6’2″ frame.
“Contrary to what some a-hole said in the past, it’s not my show,” he said before noting, “Look, I’m happy to return every season. Every off-season, something changes, something happens to make me realize how good I have it, and that’s the most important thing.”
ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” returns on Monday, March 19, and that cast will be announced on “Good Morning America” on Tuesday, February 28.
In the meantime, here’s a memory of Maks.
