The Palins really know how to keep themselves in the spotlight, don’t they?
As Sarah Palin has settled into a comfy existence making punditry for Fox News from her Alaskan home studio and speaking at tea party gatherings around the country, her star has faded a bit. But that doesn’t mean that other Palins are off-limits. Now it’s Bristol Palin‘s turn. Lifetime announced this afternoon that she’ll be in a ten-episode “docu-series” called “Bristol Palin: Life’s a Tripp”.
Because the title contains the name of the young mother’s son, you can be pretty sure that the focus is going to be on how Bristol handles motherhood, especially in the public eye, which also means that four-year-old Tripp will be a prominent part of the show.
“Steadfastly moving forward both personally and professionally, Bristol will be confronted by the many difficult life decisions people must make regarding parenthood, family, relationships and career,” says the network in a press release, “giving viewers a unique look at how these true-to-life challenges test her resolve as she single-handedly writes the next chapter in her and Tripp’s young life.”
The release doesn’t specify whether Sarah and Todd will appear on the show, but we can’t imagine why they’d stay away, since they’re a) intimately involved in Bristol and Tripp’s life, and b) like we said, they love the spotlight.
While constantly exposing their private lives and the private lives of their kids and grandkid to public scrutiny never seems to end well you have to give them credit for keeping the family name out there.
No airdate has been set so far, but the series will air sometime this year.
