What happened to JonBenet? It’s a question we may never have an answer to, but 15 years after the slaying of the six-year-old beauty queen, her father is speaking out about his daughter’s unsolved murder.

In a guest appearance on today’s “Anderson,” John Ramsey reveals his theory on what happened to his little girl, whose body was found in the basement of their home the day after Christmas 1996.

“I think what happened, and I guess it’s supported by the evidence, is this person came into our home when we were out for dinner on Christmas night and then waited until we went to bed and took JonBenet from her room,” Ramsey says.

The Colorado businessman also said he doesn’t think the killer was someone the family knew. “I don’t think I know anybody that could be this evil,” he says. “I can’t imagine I made anybody that angry.”

Ramsey also reveals how the family coped with hurtful headlines that suggested JonBenet’s then nine-year-old brother Burke had killed his sister out of jealousy. Watch the clip below:

It took the Boulder, Colo., district attorney’s office 12 years to clear John and Patsy Ramsey (who died of ovarian cancer in 2006) of any wrongdoing in JonBenet’s death, but Ramsey reveals what the “real blow” was:

In an interview with ABC News earlier this week, Ramsey admitted he regrets putting his child on public display in beauty pageants and also said he thinks the TLC reality show “Toddlers & Tiaras” is “bizarre.”

Ramsey’s new book, “The Other Side of Suffering,” was released on Wednesday.
