The Tuesday Buzz: Michelle Obama on Bo’s Bathroom Habits and More

Michelle Obama and David Letterman had a very easygoing conversation on the “Late Show” last night, a sign that Dave was charmed by the First Lady. Right before she talked about her excursion to a DC-area Target last year, she and Dave talked about Bo, the Obama family dog. She’s so enamored of him that she claims that he’s their third child. “We have two girls and a boy.”

For some reason — maybe his producers dug this up in the pre-interview — Dave decided to query the First Lady about how Bo’s bathroom habits are taken care of when he’s a dog in the White House. In other words: who walks him and where does he go to do his business? Lots of people seem to volunteer, said Michele, including her daughters Sasha and Malia. Bo even has a specific move he makes when he wants to go. Of course, this was all a setup for a classic Letterman punchline that made Mrs. Obama laugh pretty hard… almost too hard, if you know what we mean.
