Fans of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” knew that shooting for the fourth season of the show began shortly after the third season wrapped; in fact, the third-season reunion took place while the fourth season was being shot. Now it turns out that the reason for that wasn’t just for Bravo to capture burgeoning family dramas and a brewing feud between Caroline Manzo and Teresa Giudice, but to send the housewives — and their colorful husbands — on trips to the Jersey Shore and Napa Valley.

According to a Bravo press release season four starts on April 22 at 10 pm Eastern, and if the sneak peek video the channel’s website is any indication, Teresa will be the center of attention through most of the season, with Manzo saying things to her like “I can’t even look at you,” a blow-up between her and supposed best friend Jacqueline Laurita, and the usual family squabbles between Teresa, her brother Joe Gorga and her sis-in-law Melissa Gorga.

Also we’ll tie up some loose threads from season three, such as what happens when Jacqueline finally tells her loafing daughter Ashley to get out of the house? And why didn’t Jacqueline show up for the third season reunion? We’ll also see the incident where Melissa’s former boss at the Lookers gentleman’s club “surprises” her during a fashion show. Should make for an interesting season…

Oh, and contemplate this: If Giudice hangs in there on “The Celebrity Apprentice” for another month, we may be graced with everyone’s favorite table-flipper on two reality shows at once. Yes, our heads just exploded at the thought, too.
