Tebow-mania is apparently in full swing… at least for the talk shows as “Today,” “The Tonight Show” and “Late Night” were among the various series who felt the need to address the prospect of Tim Tebow now moving to New York to play for the Jets.

When Tebow initially started for the Denver Broncos fans during the NFL season, comedian Jimmy Fallon brought out his newest persona “Tebowie,” a David Bowie-inspired singer who sang about none other than the quarterback. Now, with NFL great Peyton Manning leading the team, and Tebow traded to the New York Jets, Fallon brought Tebowie back to croon about the news and how Tebow “will rise again” with a modified version of “Ziggy Stardust.”

“Talk about throwing a Christian to the Lions! said Jay Leno on “the Tonight Show” who then showed “workers” cleaning out a locker that included a painting of “The Last Supper.”

On a more serious note, Matt Lauer told his “Today” counterparts that “Tebow-mania is going to strike this city.”

The crew discussed the pros and cons of his arrival in New York. “A lot for the ladies to look at!” said Natalie Morales as a positive aspect of his move.
