Arsenio Hall didn’t reveal much about his stint as a “Celebrity Apprentice” contestant when he dropped by “The Tonight Show” last night. But he did tell Jay Leno that he got lonely while shooting the show, mainly because the cast was… well, let’s say it was less than diverse. So who did Hall connect with? None other than Clay Aiken, whom Arsenio called “my black friend” during the shoot.
“I’m not making this a black-white thing, but sometimes you want to talk to someone about Ne-Yo or something, or ‘Hey, Clay, did you see ‘106 & Park’?’ Somebody who knows, who sang ‘Mr. Telephone Man,’ to talk to.”
Who knew? Anyway, Hall got emotional when he was talking about the reasons why he went on the show, and the charity he’s playing for, the Magic Johnson Foundation. But Arsenio being Arsenio, he first joked about how tough it is to talk to Magic, given the fact that the NBA legend is a mogul and Arsenio still just considers himself a comedian.
