Last week we found out that Camille Grammer was not going to return for season three of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” with various versions of why she wasn’t returning hitting the media.
Tuesday morning, the ex-Mrs. Kelsey Grammer hit “Good Morning America” to talk with guest host Katie Couric about why it was her choice not to come back.
“I gave them a list of things that I didn’t want to shoot-my children and my relationship with my boyfriend. I don’t think my ex would have signed off on it, and I don’t feel comfortable exposing my kids,” she told Couric.
She said she regrets the so-called gift left to her by her ex-husband of being on the show.
“The first season was horrible because they were filming me during the worst year of my whole life,” she said. “My whole life was falling apart…my husband left me, he was having an affair with another woman in New York City while I was filming a reality show. It doesn’t get worse than that.”
She noted that while they offered to let her appear as a guest star of the series, she declined the invitation because is was “not one that I was comfortable with after being on the show for two years as a main housewife.”
However, fans shouldn’t feel sorry for her. She’s now dating lawyer Dimitri Charalambopoulos and leaves with a positive experience from the show.
“At the end, I can say, I have a good relationship with the girls,” she said. “I have a great relationship with the producers, I enjoyed my experience with the franchise, and we’re still talking, I still talk to everybody.”
