UPDATE: “Voice” coach Adam Levine confirmed to Ryan Seacrest that he is indeed scaring up plans to make his acting debut on the FX series “American Horror Story.”

“It is the truth,” Levine confirms. “I mean, it’s pretty much happening. I think it’s happening. I don’t know how much I can divulge, because Ryan [Murphy] is very under wraps.”

Adam Levine is turning out to be quite the multi-tasker.

The Maroon 5 lead singer and mentor on NBC’s hit “The Voice” is now lining up an acting gig.

Levine is in final talks to join the Season 2 cast of FX’s “American Horror Story,” Entertainment Weekly reports.

He will be playing “a contemporary character” that’s one half of a couple known only as “The Lovers,” according to EW, who adds producers are so keen on Levine that they are working his shooting schedule around his summer tour schedule.

The second season of the twisted Ryan Murphy-Brad Fulchuk drama is swathed in secrecy, but we do know that it will take place in a “horror institution” on the East Coast and returning cast members such as Jessica Lange will be playing entirely new characters. Zachary Quinto, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, and Lily Rabe are also on board for next season. It’s set to premiere in October.

The “Horror” role will mark Levine’s acting debut.
