‘The Flintstones’ Remake Halted

TV’s trip back to the Stone Age is frozen in time. Seth MacFarlane‘s planned high-profile TV remake of “The Flintstones” has been put on hold, reports Deadline.

A longtime in the works, the reboot has been put on the backburner due to the showrunner’s overburdened schedule.

The project, announced last spring, was originally intended to launch in 2013. There’s no word on when production is scheduled to resume.

It would have been the fourth cartoon in MacFarlane’s “animation domination” on Fox, which also includes “Family Guy,” “The Cleveland Show,” and “American Dad.”
