Newly minted senior David Letterman acknowledged his 65th birthday Thursday night with a very personal “Top Ten” list.
The “Top Ten,” seen on Letterman’s “Late Show” on CBS (which you can watch, above), was titled “The Top Ten things I, Dave, hope to do by the time I turn 65.”
No. 1 was decidedly off-color, it seemed to us. We won’t reveal it, though. To whet your appetite for this “Top Ten” list, here’s a random sampling:
“No. 10: Suffer a massive, teeth-rattling heart attack!”
“No. 9: Become a gay icon!”
“No. 7: Serve a half-term as governor of Alaska!”
“No. 6: Design my own line of necklaces for Kay Jewelers!”
Other than this “Top Ten,” Dave kept the birthday “celebrating” to a minimum. Guest Billy Crystal made mention of it, though, and even presented Dave with his very own video “tribute.”
And here’s an added bonus. This next clip has nothing to do with Dave’s birthday, but we loved it so much we thought we’d include it here. It’s Billy telling a hilarious story about comedian Redd Foxx, a great show business tale.
