HBO has decided to spend more time with Bill Maher: His hour-long political talk show, “Real Time with Bill Maher,” has been renewed for Seasons 11 and 12, the network announced Tuesday. The two-year pick-up will keep Maher’s roundtable discussions of hot topics on the air into 2014.
Now in its 10th season, “Real Time” averages 4.1 million viewers per episode.
“Bill Maher’s irreverent wit and fearless insights make him the perfect observer for these unpredictable times,” Michael Lombardo, HBO president of programming, said in a statement. “I’m delighted that we can continue to offer an uncensored forum for his original and thoughtful humor.”
“Real Time with Bill Maher” airs Fridays at 10/9c on HBO.
