“DWTS” alum Mario Lopez may have just slipped up and exposed a “Dancing” secret.

While guest co-hosting “Live! with Kelly Ripa” Wednesday morning, Lopez blurted out that “Dancing with the Stars” is planning an All-Star edition.

“You know what, Kelly? They’re doing a ‘Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars’ this next season,” Lopez said. “They called me to do it.”

The pair had been discussing Gladys Knight’s “Dancing” dismissal the night before when Lopez made the revelation.

Fans and critics alike have long been asking for a DWTS All-Star Edition, for the ultimate dance-off of champions and favorites, so it sounds as if producers are finally hopping to it.

ABC has not announced plans for “DWTS All-Stars” yet, and the network has not commented on Lopez’s remarks.

But Season 7 mirrorball trophy winner and “DWTS” co-host Brooke Burke also recently discussed a possible DWTS All-Stars, telling Rachael Ray that “100% yes” she would put down the mic and tie on her dancing shoes once again to compete if it happens.

Would Lopez, who came in second place on Season 3 with former girlfriend Karina Smirnoff, also be up for the challenge?

“I just don’t know how I’d be able to pull it off,” Lopez said to Ripa, leaving us to presume that his daily “Extra” hosting duties would prevent him from competing. (Side note: Lopez shoots “Extra” from The Grove in LA, which is about a whole block away from the “DWTS” stage. Just sayin’…)

So, which former “DWTS” stars would you love to see back in the ballroom? Emmitt Smith? Gilles Marini? Melissa Rycroft? Cloris Leachman? Let the speculation begin!
