Odds are not in your favor for finding love on reality TV, and “The Bachelor” franchise has a notorious happily-never-after reputation.
In 16 seasons of “The Bachelor” and seven seasons of “The Bachelorette,” only ONE couple has tied the knot (and incredulously, remains married…with children!). That honor goes to Season 1 Bachelorette Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter.
But “The Bachelor” has brought together one more legitimately happy couple, albeit they come from behind-the-scenes of the eye-rolling dating reality show.
“Bachelor” producers Cassie Lambert and Pete Scalettar met while working on the show, falling in love while being swept away to all of the show’s romantic locations, such as Anguila, Belize, China, Costa Rica, Fiji, South Africa and Switzerland.
After three years of dating, Pete and Cassie have announced their engagement. And guess who’s in charge of the “I Do’s” at their California wedding this summer?
None other than “Bachelor” host Chris Harrison will be officiating their wedding, according to Glamour magazine.
If Harrison is in charge, we bet it will be, in his infamous words, the most dramatic! wedding! ever!
Comedian Sarah Silverman says “The Bachelor” sends an offensive message to women:
