His career may have risen to the point where he can play host to the President of the United States on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” but a new video that is making the rounds shows the beginnings of Fallon’s rise into comedy.
In the audition tape for Lorne Michaels and “Saturday Night Live,” a young Jimmy Fallon takes on the likes of one-time “SNL” staples Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, and Colin Quinn with impersonations that make the producers audibly laugh in the background. He also throws in some Bill Cosby, Jerry Seinfeld, and John Travolta for good measure.
The rest, as they say, is history with Fallon landing a spot as a featured player on the series in the 1998–1999 season and remaining a part of the show leading up to his gig as host of the famed “Late Night” franchise.
