After two seasons as a judge on “American Idol,” is Jennifer Lopez ready to throw in the towel?

While promoting her new film “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” with co-star Cameron Diaz on Tuesday’s episode of “Ellen,” Lopez was hesitant to confirm she’d return next season.

“I don’t know. I really do enjoy it, but I don’t know if I can go for a third year,” she said.

Lopez admitted that her commitment to the show “really does lock you down,” adding that she loved working on “Idol” the first year while her now 4-year-old twins Max and Emme were younger. But “now they’re getting older and they’re about to go to school,” she said. “I miss other things.”

Last year, Lopez was similarly reluctant to admit she’d be back, saying she was “on the fence” until ultimately signing up for the current season.

Next up for the “On the Floor” singer is her summer tour with Enrique Iglesias.

The “American Idol” semi-finals air Wednesday, May 16 and Thursday, May 17 at 8/7c on Fox.
