Tuesday night’s Season 9 finale of “NCIS” was the bomb.

But that isn’t necessarily a good thing, since the final nail-biting minutes left pretty much every main character hanging in the balance … and viewers hanging all summer long!

The episode titled, “Till Death Do Us Part,” picked up with the terrorist storyline and ended with an explosion at “NCIS” central, where the gang failed to get the building fully evacuated in time. Who was left stranded? Tony and Ziva were trapped in an elevator, McGee went flying and Gibbs ran back in to rescue Abby just as things went BOOM.

But the real tragedy may have hit someone who wasn’t at the scene of the terrorist bombing:

The final shot is of Ducky (played by David McCallum), walking along a serenely misty shore with waves gently crashing, as he gets a chilling phone call: “Dear God,” he says. “How many? Don’t move the deceased until I get there.”

The news is so upsetting, Ducky appears to have a heart attack and collapses on the beach. Duuuucky!

Who lives and who dies? See you in September, “NCIS” fans! Watch the cliffhanging finale above.
