It’s on! The surviving “Dancing with the Stars” Season 14 couples — Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd, Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas, and William Levy and Cheryl Burke — are preparing to fight for the mirror ball.
After last week’s semifinals, Peta told xfinityTV that fans will love their freestyle, which will include “crazy choreography, exciting lifts and tricks. I’m just going to be throwing everything I can into it. It’s going to be a big melting pot full of moves.”
Donald is looking forward to strutting his stuff in the freestyle. “It’s free—you can do whatever you want,” the football player said. “I don’t have to turn to the left, I don’t have to hold great posture, I can just be me and enjoy this one. It’s going to be a great roller coaster. You gotta come up with something different. Will I go sideways on the floor [like a] caterpillar? Run around in boxers? Whatever wins the fans over. We’ll see!”

The lifts in the freestyle dance will showcase Donald’s strength. “I’m going to the weight room tonight,” he said. And Peta joked, “I’m going on a diet tonight.” He quipped, “I told her—she can’t be gaining weight on me—no, I’m just messing with her!”
More seriously, Donald said, “I want to be the third football player to win [the show]. That’s our goal.” The competitive couple revealed that the “DWTS” initials mean something else to them—“Donald Wins The Show,” he said.

But when asked about her freestyle dance by xfinityTV, singer Katherine wouldn’t drop any clues, saying, “You know I’m not allowed to give that away. I would like to surprise you. I don’t want to do the obvious. But I don’t really want to say anything [else]. I don’t want to get in trouble.”
Meanwhile, William said his pre-finale rehearsal schedule with Cheryl “is going to be crazy. I think we’re dancing three dances. Maybe next week I’ll be standing here and you won’t be able to see me– I’m going to be so skinny.”
The telenovela star seemed baffled about the concept of the famed “DWTS” “freestyle” dance all the finalists must perform. “I have no idea what it is,” William confided to reporters. “Maybe I can win?”
The two-part “Dancing with the Stars” Season 14 finale kicks-off tonight at 8/7c with the final performances of the season, while the Mirror Ball Trophy winner will be crowned on Tuesday’s two-hour results show beginning at 9/8c.
