Jimmy Fallon stopped by “Today” Tuesday morning and shared an interesting anecdote about how he not only came to book President Obama on “Late Night,” but what Obama refused to do on the show. According to Fallon, after seeing a segment he did with the First Lady, the White House called asking if the President could tape his own bit promoting his initiative against raising taxes on student loans. Fallon agreed, but with his own request: that Obama appear on “Late Night” and submit to an interview. Once the President signed off, Fallon set to work on locking in the now-famous “Slow Jamming the News” segment. Although the President turned out to be game to participate, there was one piece of the performance he couldn’t abide by: imitating the spicy “ohhh yeeeeahhhh” regular Slow Jam contributor Brian Williams has so expertly perfected. Watch Fallon explain it in his best Obama voice above.
