Reports: ‘Today’ Makes Offer to Guthrie, while Curry Will Stay at NBC News

Savannah Guthrie on Today (NBC)

More rumblings from the “Today” front.

TMZ reports that NBC has officially offered the co-host gig to Savannah Guthrie, who already co-hosts the 9 a.m. hour of the show as a replacement to a (theoretically) outgoing Ann Curry.

The promotion would likely be made quickly, according to the report, with an announcement expected to come late this week or early next week as the network wants to make the switch fairly soon.

Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter says that if Curry does leave, she won’t be heading far as she would take a “substantial” role at NBC News in a new role of the longtime “Today” staple.
