‘I Love Lucy’ Actress Singleton Dies at 92

Actress Doris Singleton, who was best known for playing Lucy and Ricky Ricardo’s neighbor and sometime nemesis Carolyn Appleby on the famed sitcom “I Love Lucy,” passed away at the age of 92.

The actress appeared on ten episodes of the series, and Lucie Arnaz, daughter of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, confirmed Singleton’s death her Facebook page.

Singleton was also a guest on a slew of other comedies and dramas spanning her more than three decades on television. Other appearances by the actress included series such as “The Dick Van Dyke Show,” “Gomer Pyle,” “Gunsmoke,” “The Twilight Zone, “The Bob Hope Show” and “Alfred Hitchcock Presents.” She was a also a series regular on the 1960 series “Angel,” and had a recurring role on “My Three Sons.”
