So You Think You Can Dance” is ready to get serious!

After a coast-to-coast search and thousands of auditions, judges Mary Murphy and Nigel Lythgoe and choreographers Debbie Allen and Adam Shankman selected the best of the bunch and revealed the Top 20 (10 male, 10 female) finalists of Season 9, who will dance it out for the title of America’s Favorite Male and Female Dancers.

The finalists will compete live for the first time on Wednesday, July 11 (8-10 p.m./ET), when they will be divided into 10 couples who’ll create a routine representing their assigned genres. The first results show will air the following Wednesday, where the bottom six may be given the opportunity to perform a solo routine, before the judges determine which two dancers will be eliminated.

Viewers will be able to vote for their favorites each week online and by phone or by text.
