The 48-year-old former Sports Illustrated cover model will reportedly keep her role as executive producer on the series while she develops a new show, “Goddess With Guns,” with producing partner and former NBC executive Ben Silverman. “I have been involved with ‘Fashion Star’ from the beginning, and am very proud to see it come to life, not only in America but globally,” Macpherson tells the Post. “The show is in great hands, and although I will not be hosting this season, I will still be very involved [and] will be reviewing the format for the upcoming season.”
The recently renewed series will also undergo other format changes in Season 2, including potentially eliminating the role of host altogether. While judges Jessica Simpson, John Varvatos and Nicole Richie will remain, co-sponsor H&M will not return, with insiders telling the Post the brand was no longer a “good fit” for the show.
