UPDATED: Erin Andrews has joined Fox Sports, the network revealed on Sunday. “We’re thrilled to welcome [Andrews] back to the FOX Sports family,” said Eric Shanks, executive producer, co-president and COO, FOX Sports Media Group via press release. “Erin is one of the hardest-working, most-respected individuals in sports television and we expect her to have an immediate impact.” Andrews commented, “To have the chance to not only host the primetime college football pregame show, but cover the NFL, MLB and various other incredible FOX Sports properties is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I couldn’t be more excited to get to work.”

PREVIOUSLY: Erin Andrews is leaving ESPN after eight years at the sports network, where she co-hosted “College GameDay.” Her contract expires Saturday and is not being renewed.

An ESPN spokesperson confirmed the news Friday in a statement.

“Erin Andrews leaving ESPN. She did great work for us and we made an aggressive offer to keep her. We wish her the best on her next chapter.”

The next page of her playbook might find her at a rival network. Sports Illustrated reports that Fox Sports is “aggressively pursuing” Andrews for a role at its network.

A rep for Andrews told SI, “We are not in a position to discuss Erin’s next career move.”

Reports of Andrews’ ESPN exit began to surface in March, when she last appeared on-air to cover an ACC college basketball tournament.

Andrews joined ESPN in 2004 and appeared as a “Good Morning America” correspondent in 2010. She was also a contestant on “Dancing with the Stars” in 2010, where she partnered with Maksim Chmerikovskiy and placed third.
